Pioneer Museum
Adventure awaits in northern Arizona! Originally built in 1908 as the Coconino County Hospital for the Indigent, make Pioneer Museum your destination to discover Flagstaff history. Boothill Graveyard

Fort Lowell Museum
Fort Lowell was a military supply post active from 1873 to 1891. Learn about the purpose and history of the fort and about the soldiers and families. Also learn about the Apache of the region as well as the pre-history of the area seen at the nearby Hardy site. History in the Park and Family Funday events are held each month October through April.

Goodenough Silver Mine & Trolley
The Goodenough Silver Mine is one of the finest mine tours in the entire United States (according to TripAdvisor). This mine was one of the first opened in the Tombstone district and was one of the most productive. On my historic trolley tour, I show my guests where the famous gunfight took place, but also share the history of the mines and other important facets of Tombstone's day-to-day life.

Historic Canoa Ranch
The Raul M. Grijalva Canoa Ranch Conservation Park comprises 4,800 acres of the original San Ignacio de la Canoa Grant. Hacienda de la Canoa is the name given to the 30-acre ranch headquarters in the 1920's by Levi Manning. People from all periods of time have contributed to the special history of this place. Historic Canoa Ranch is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Come out for a tour, an environmental education program such as one of our bird walks or stargazing events, or just sit and enjoy the wildlife at Canoa Lake.

The Historic Empire Ranch is nestled in the 45,000-acre Las Cienegas Conservation Area just North of Sonoita, AZ off Hwy 83. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. There has been cattle grazing on this land since 1876 when Walter Vail purchased a 160 acre homestead and developed one of SE Arizona’s largest cattle ranches. We host monthly volunteer workdays, six yearly events, and give docent tours and presentations to clubs and schools. Plan a trip to tour the Ranch House and the Heritage Discovery Trail. Visit our Gift Shop (open most Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays) where you can find unique items.

Founded by Spanish Jesuit Priest Eusebio Kino, this historic church remains an active Franciscan mission located in the San Xavier District of the Tohono O’odham Nation. The building of this spectacular example of Mexican Baroque architecture began in 1783 and work continued for 14 years before funds ran out. Often referred to as the “White Dove of the Desert” the building is currently undergoing careful restoration. The site, one of the most photographed locations in Tucson, is considered a “must see” in Southern Arizona. Free, docent led tours are offered Monday through Saturdays: 9:30am–12:30pm. The Pima County Sheriff’s Posse is a Non Profit all-Volunteer Mounted unit founded in 1946. Our goal is to keep alive the Cowboy tradition of the Southwest and to educate the public about the joys and fascination of Southern Arizona’s outdoors on foot and on horseback. The Posse contributes its time and services to community projects as well as trail riding events for charities. The Posse participates in several Parades each year including the Tucson Rodeo Parade, the Green Valley Parade, the Tombstone Parade as well as the El Paso Parade and others. To help raise funds a monthly Gymkhana is conducted. This event is geared toward families, giving adults and children of all ages the opportunity to participate in horseback events and games. Tumacácori National Historical Park protects the remains of three Spanish missions to the O’odham people. Two of the mission sites can be visited only on special reserved tours during winter months; the Tumacácori Mission is open every day but Christmas and Thanksgiving.
